Kwandi quilting Workshop - APRIL 26 2024 SEPTEMBER 27 2004

This workshop is designed to introduce you to a
quilting technique that is rooted in history, has
distinctive elements of construction and that can be
easily adapted or added to your own textile and
hand stitching language.
It is important to look at the techniques in context.
The Siddi tribe brings elements of African design that
traces the movement of people and fabrics from
Europe, to Africa and then on to India.
We can learn from their processes in relation to
sustainability, community and the unique aesthetics
which make each quilt unique to the maker.

You will learn the technique and start your own piece of Work

Course is online via zoom or Google Meet - 6-830 pm GMT (London)
A set of slides will be sent to you with the link the day before the workshop
